This value was originally known as “make time to reflect,” and then “Practice reflection.” It’s an important philosophy of how we approach opportunities and challenges, big and small.
We carve out time for reflection in order to unblock ourselves. We believe personal growth stems from vulnerability and introspection as we focus on ongoing self-improvement.
What this looks like in practice:
- I believe the act of introspection is where true learning and life-changing adjustments originate.
- I find the time to jump out of the trenches into higher-level thinking that will move the needle.
- I listen first and then listen more: seeking first to understand, then to be understood.
- I understand the value of patience and treat it as a muscle, which needs practice to grow.
- I take the approach that everything is a hypothesis.
