For voluntary departures, the People-Ops team will connect with you to review a few things ahead of your final day. They’ll be in touch on these items, but you’re welcome to get a head start if you’d like.

Pre-Departure Checklist
People-Ops to send departing Bufferoo a thread (and cc their manager) during the teammate’s last week.
Here are some things to review before your final day at Buffer 🙂
Tools & Logins:
- Please check that any shared Buffer tools/apps/subscriptions registered in your name are transferred to your team’s shared email account (e.g., [email protected]).
- Please update your team’s 1Password Shared Vault accordingly, and be sure to deactivate any TFA that is associated with your personal mobile device and set up TFA in 1Password so we are not locked out.
- If you were previously the point person for a department-based tool, please make sure that you nominate another teammate to take over these responsibilities. Connect with your manager if you have questions on who would be best.
- Check that any important Buffer logins are saved in the Shared Vaults in your 1Password Business account.
- You may also want to double-check that no personal logins are in the Private Vault in your 1Password Business account; these will be deleted once the account is deactivated.
Emails & Contacts:
- If you are the primary contact with any external parties and stakeholders, please send your manager a list so we can stay in touch.
- Please also forward any vendor contacts to minimize disruption to any renewals or subscription changes down the line.
Deprovisioning:
Let the People-Ops team know when you’ll be logging off on your last day, so none of your accounts are de-provisioned before you’ve wrapped up.
Reimbursements:
Finally, if you have any eligible expenses from the most recent month, you can submit these through Expensify up to two weeks following your final day. After that time, we’ll close your Expensify account and the window will close to submit reimbursements.
