While we do a lot of work independently and asynchronously, we are not a fully asynchronous culture. Meetings are an important tool in communication and collaboration.

Here’s the TL;DR of our approach to meetings, with a bit of additional reading.
- We do have a meeting culture even though a lot of work is done independently and asynchronously.
- We default to Zoom so that we can see each other and respond to body language. However, if you have a reason to have your camera off, that’s fine. The same applies for muting; please stay unmuted unless your background noise will be a distraction.
- When scheduling, we usually have to be creative with other meetings and timezones. Please try to be flexible with your schedule in order to accommodate the group, when possible.
- If a meeting is larger than 6 people or so, choose a facilitator beforehand to create an agenda and keep the meeting on track.
