Buffer’s approach to COVID as it relates to work travel, as of November 2023:

• Vaccines are strongly recommended, but not required, to join in-person events.
• Please take a COVID test less than 24 hours before you begin travel (or 48 hours if you’re not able to use an at-home test). If you test positive, do not travel.
• Every teammate: please take an at-home covid test every other day in the morning before joining the day’s activities, usually Monday and Wednesday. If you test positive, please stay in your room, and let your manager and Caro know. (Get comfortable and order room service for breakfast!)
  • Please bring 2 tests with you. You can expense the cost of these tests. If you’re not able to get at-home tests, please let your manager or Caro know and we will bring extras.
• We ask every teammate to please wear a mask while in-transit, and to limit personal travel and possible exposure for a week before the event, to cut down on the risk of catching (and spreading) COVID or anything else.
• Masks will be optional during all activities. Teammates may choose to wear a mask any time if it will help them feel more comfortable.

We will all do our part to keep everyone safe and healthy, but sadly we can't guarantee that you won't be exposed to COVID or anything else. Retreats are highly encouraged but optional; if you're at high-risk for serious illness, please consult with your doctor before choosing to travel!
